USVCC Teammates –
First and foremost, we hope this finds you healthy and well. It seems the rest of the world is getting a better understanding of the spirit of the veteran community – an understanding that if we stick together, we can weather any storm. And it seems it’s happening; there is light in these very difficult times as families stick together, friends find creative ways to stay connected and even strangers look for ways to help each other. We want to be a part of that connective tissue for you – please stay tuned to our COVID-19 updates and charitable work as we all step through this difficult time.
We were fortunate to have successfully conducted our fundraising event at the New York Athletic Club on March 9, literally a day or two before large-scale cancellations hit the country. We are comforted to say that as of this writing, nearly a month after the event, we have had only one reported case of COVID-19 from an attendee resulting in full recovery, with no contact contagion for any other attendees.
We wish to thank our attendees for supporting our nation’s Invictus Athletes as well as our touchdown sponsors Seeger Weiss, Caliber Home Loans, and GEICO. We thank the Leadership Committee for their guidance, and especially thank NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Pro Football Hall of Fame President & CEO David Baker, and all of the Gold Jacket Hall of Fame attendees for their time and presence.
As the country responds to the COVID-19 challenges, please stay tuned to the Resources link on the USVCC.org website and our other social media updates. We regularly provide new information across all 5 USVCC Pillars, with particular focus on health information, business disaster loans, and important changes to policies and procedures regarding benefits for our Veteran community.
Stay safe and healthy,
