The Invictus Games Foundation (IGF) will hold its next iteration of the IGF ‘Conversation’ series as a webinar on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 between 2:00–3:45PM British Summer Time. Along with a number of other events, it will occur during the ‘Games Week’ when the Invictus Games The Hague would have taken place in 2021 and will be part of the overall bridging program for IG2020.
This webinar is entitled “Learning and Emerging from the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Role of Sport.”
As well as learning from the Invictus community, the impact of the IGF’s activities have wider relevance, and this iteration will consider how they are able to assist other organisations with similar values of service, including the NHS and the healthcare workers in the frontline of the pandemic.
We are delighted that the event will be moderated by JJ Chalmers, a former competitor and now BBC broadcaster. It will include speakers from the Participating Nations, as well as Consuella Moore (coach to the US Invictus team), Professor Neil Greenberg, Professor Em Wilkinson-Brice and Steve Lee from NHS England and NHS Improvement, and Air Vice Marshall Rich Withnall.
The event will be structured very much as a discussion between JJ and the key speakers. In an effort to have more involvement from the Participating Nations, this “Conversation” will include contributions from Georgia, Italy and Ukraine as well as a US family. Therefore, it should offer a great range of perspectives reflecting the international nature of the Invictus community.
It would be great if you are able to join us for this event. Please register at the link below by May 26, 2021 to participate.
